Aleksandra U. Elnæs
I hold a BA in English & History from and an MA in 18th Century Studies. My research interests have for the most part been concerned with gender and politics in literature between c.1790-1820, women’s writing in general and Wollstonecraft and Austen in particular. I am interested in the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, romanticism, neoclassicism, houses & interiors, gender and travel writings. I also have a soft spot for 19th century Norwegian poets, the Pre-Raphaelites, the Aesthetic Movement and Victor Hugo’s Paris. I have experience working with learning and interpretation in a heritage environment and as a museum interpreter.
